Criminal Justice Evolution Podcast: Microcast Monday - I want to go back to the time when.....

Hello everyone and welcome back to Microcast Monday. Short bursts of inspiration and motivation to get you started on your week.  Thank you for listening to the show. If you are a first-time listener - Welcome. Long time listener, welcome back. =) A special thank you to all the first responders who protect and serve every day. Remember you are honored, cherished, and loved. Please be safe and thank you for your service. I struggled. I was in a dark place for a long time. I was in pain, and I masked it with alcohol.  I was contemplating hurting myself.  I finally decided to reach out and ask for help, and I am grateful I did. FHE Health and The Shatterproof Program saved my life. If you are struggling, you don’t have to stay there. We can and will help you. Reach out today at 303.960.9819. https://fherehab.com/ https://www.cjevolution.com/shatterproof/ I frequently hear people say, I want to go back to the time when....(fill in the blank). You are never going back to that time. You have to adapt to the one constant - Change. You can either go with it or go kicking and screaming because it's moving forward. Sure, no one likes change but this is where your growth and opportunities are. A new boat doesn't get tested sitting in the harbor, it has to go out to sea to see if it can handle it. The same is true with you.  The past is the past - It's NEVER coming back. We all make mistakes and wish we could have done things differently, but you are NOT the mistakes you have made.  You chart your own path. The future is where it's at. www.cjevolution.com Patrick

If you're not getting that get rid of some time you are wasting and devote to sleep. Your body and mind will thank you. 3) Consumption - Mentally - What are you putting in your head? Get rid of the negative and in with the positive. The same goes for what food you are putting into your body. 4) Fitness - Get your butt off the couch and walk a little. Movement is life. 5) Your Tribe - Who are you hanging with? Do you know how much influence they have over you, because they do. Are they bringing you up or down? Sometimes you have to distance or get rid of certain people in your life. Sound harsh? Life is harsh.  Remember everything starts with you. Now before you start yelling at me about your duty to protect and serve just listen to me for a minute. If you don't save yourself first how will you begin to save others? I am not talking about not doing your job as a first responder - Far from it. Saving and helping others with their others is your primary role. But I posit this:  Say you are operating at 75% mentally and physically (And you and only you know the operating level you are currently at, how do you serve and protect others to your full potential? - YOU CAN'T! I talk about this a lot because it's so important, and so many of you don't - TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST. Mentally and Physically you Must Come First You can and you will - Repeat that everyday. Please be safe and go out and conquer your day and week. www.cjevolution.com   Patrick
