On to MicroCast Monday….
Sarah Lewis said the the following:
Grit is not just a simple elbow-grease term for rugged persistence. It is often an invisible display of endurance that lets you stay in an uncomfortable place, work hard to improve upon a given interest and do it again and again.
We all have talents – Often many talents, but talent alone won’t get you were you want to go. How many people do you know who are talented and are wasting their talents, and not going anywhere? I know many. No, the real successful people not only have the talent but they also have the GRIT.
What is GRIT? My definition is when you try something and you fail and you get back up and go after it again and again until you succeed. That is a drive that a lot of people don’t have, and that is what is going to separate you from your competition. See, there is less competition at the top because most people don’t play at those levels.
