On this Microcast Monday, I wanted to talk about a subject that each of us will face someday, and that is the subject of death. More importantly, the regrets that a lot of people take to their graves.
Bronnie Ware is an Australian nurse who worked for many years in Palliative Care, where she cared for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives.
She then took her experiences and what she recorded over the years and wrote a book called The 5 Regrets of the Dying.
Here are the 5 Regrets as witnessed by Bronnie Ware:
1) “I wish I would have had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
2) “I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.” – I know you have to pay the bills and provide, but remember that your children go up fast. Relationships and love are what matters in the end.
3) “I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.”
4) “I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.”
5) “I wish I had let myself be happier.”
Go out there and conquer the day – Remember to live your true life and not a life in regret.
Stay tuned for more great shows.
