Rhonda is a veteran fire department professional with 17 years of experience. She was selected as the Health and Safety Officer for her fire department.
Drawing on years of experience in the fields of academic research, science, nursing, nutrition/health coaching and firefighting, she threw myself into expanding her roles.
Her projects included: revamping the annual physical fitness assessment; creating a Behavioral Wellness program based on the Peer Support model; coordinating with other local departments to develop a statewide network for Fire Service Peer Support; conducting training on injury reduction and health promotion for both recruits and active duty personnel; collaborating with a local healthcare provider to create a specialized fire and police medical physical; and serving as a patient advocate for occupational injuries and medical disabilities.
Rhonda is also the CEO and Founder of ResponderStrong.
She works with a broad group of emergency responders to develop a shared, easily accessible mental wellness platform for police, fire, EMS, and dispatch personnel across Colorado and the nation.
