I am very happy this morning. Grateful to be alive and grateful for all the close family and friends that are in my life and continue to support and love me. As many of you know, not too long ago I was in a dark place. I was depressed, stressed, fearful and I wanted to take my life. It wasn’t until I reached out to my network that I found the place I needed to be. The Shatterproof program for first responders at FHE saved my life.
I love life now and I am excited for what the future holds for me. I am no longer fearful about what I can’t control. I focus on what I can control and I take it day by day. My treatment taught me the tools to guide me along the way.

Thank you for being an inspiration. I want you to know that many people do not understand that dark place unless you have been there. I too have came close to taking my own life it was the lowest of lows for me. If my husband hand not come home I would have pulled that trigger, the gun in my hand shaking tears streaming I was there I was done. After years of fighting back getting back to me I am better, there are times I think I am sinking then I turn to my friend the Chaplain of the local police dept to pull me back. I now have many years helping people through work related injuries, first responders many more since Covid, I pledge my life to helping them injured from any work injury physical or mental. Keep the faith!
