Hello everyone and welcome back.

In this episode Patrick talks about how modern day law enforcement came about – going all the way back to 1829.

It started with British Home Secretary Sir Robert Peel. He recognized the need for a professional and respected police force in London after years of lawlessness and urban social disorder.  With time the police or “bobby’s” earned public endorsement. Some of the same traditions and values that Peel envisioned in a professional police force are alive and well today.
