We learn all the time, or we should be. What about you? Are you continuing to learn about you and your life? This moment in time is never going to return. What you do now can determine the course of your life. When it comes to mental health and addiction, do you think your recovery is magically going to come to you? It won't and it will never will unless you move forward and reach out. One of the most difficult things I ever did was reach out for help. It was very hard and I was ashamed. I was fearful. I know you are too. Patrick Fitzgibbons is a retired Police Commander and former Army Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is now a Program Lead for FHE Health in their Shatterproof Program for First Responders located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He is passionate about helping first responders who are struggling, and he also sought treatment for his struggles. He holds advanced degrees in organizational leadership and business, and is currently studying to become a licensed mental health clinician in the State of Florida. Patrick also speaks to first responder organizations about health and wellness for personnel.
